Here is how PhotoPulse handles purchases, data, and support in plain language, written to match how the site works today. If we publish fuller terms later, those documents take priority where they differ.
By using PhotoPulse you agree to use the platform lawfully and in good faith. The site is provided on an as-is basis; availability and features may change as we improve the service.
Accounts. You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate contact information where we require it for orders or compliance.
Listings and licences. Creators are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for having the rights to offer work for sale. Buyers receive the licence terms shown at checkout. For rights questions, use Contact or the report option on Help or a listing, and include your order reference when you can.
Acceptable use. No unlawful content, no attempts to compromise the service or other users’ data, and no use of the platform to harass or defraud. We may remove content or restrict accounts to protect users and the service.
Governing approach. PhotoPulse is positioned from a UK perspective. Governing law and jurisdiction for any formal terms will be stated in counsel-reviewed documents when they are issued.
Fees & pricing
The list price on a listing is what the buyer pays for that line before Stripe’s own processing costs. Each paid order stores the exact split in pence. The default commission rule in our live configuration is below; some studios may have a different operator-agreed rate that replaces the default for their checkouts.
PhotoPulse commission (per line gross)
Default: 15% of each line’s gross (unit price × quantity), rounded down to whole pence, recorded as commission on your receipt. Your order lines also store the rate used when you paid. The amount left after commission and VAT on commission (below) is the creator’s share for that line.
UK VAT on that commission
When applicable, we add 20% UK VAT on the commission amount itself (again in whole pence), stored on each line as VAT on commission. It reduces the creator’s cash share on the same line. Creators declare UK VAT registration on Seller → Profile; that choice is snapshotted on each order line for accounting.
Card processing
Card processing is handled by Stripe. Their processing fees depend on card type, currency, and other factors; PhotoPulse does not set those charges. Use your Stripe receipt or card statement if you need the exact amount taken for processing.
Payments & Stripe
Checkout is provided by Stripe Checkout. Payment status on orders is updated when Stripe notifies our servers of a completed checkout session. Card data is handled by Stripe under their terms; PhotoPulse stores payment references (such as payment intent or session identifiers) needed for support and accounting.
Operational email is sent via Postmark.
Digital delivery
We do not host originals in app storage on this site. Creators may give an HTTPS album-style link or note that is saved when you pay, so past orders keep the delivery details from the moment of purchase.
Exact fulfilment mechanics must match what the seller described on the listing and what was captured on your receipt.
Refunds & disputes
Refunds are not guaranteed by these summaries. Where a purchase fails to match the described licence or delivery, contact the creator via your order context or use Contact with identifiers from your receipt. Chargebacks and payment disputes may be processed under Stripe and card-network rules; we may share order metadata with Stripe to resolve cases.
Acceptable-use reports can be submitted from Help or listing pages. They are logged for operational review; they are not a promise of any particular outcome or turnaround time.
Stripe Connect (creators)
Creators may complete Stripe Connect Express onboarding under Seller → Payouts so payouts can be aligned with platform rules. Stripe’s Connect terms and onboarding disclosures apply to connected accounts.
Commission and VAT-on-commission may be recorded on each line. Destination charges follow your Connect settings and cart composition.
Privacy (summary)
We collect the minimum data needed to run accounts, orders, and email you ask for (e.g. receipts, password resets, transactional messages via Postmark).
What we process. Account email and password hash; order and payment references; trust & safety reports; contact form submissions (logged on the server and forwarded to our team inbox when configured); technical logs as required for security and operations.
Cookies and sessions. We use a session cookie for signed-in features, cart state, and CSRF protection. We do not use third-party advertising cookies in this application.
Processors. Infrastructure, email, and payments may process data on our behalf under their respective terms and privacy policies (e.g. Stripe, Postmark).
Retention. Order records are retained for accounting and buyer access to receipts; logs may be rotated or archived according to operational policy.
Your rights. Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. For requests, use Contact with the email address on your account.
